WP1 : Navigation Monitoring & Assistance Service (NAMAS)
NAMAS monitors navigation of vulnerable ships and gives alarm for navigation assistance to prevent collision and grounding. It uses positional information of ships and their route information when available. LTE-Maritime and VDES are being considered as physical communication links for NAMAS

All vessels capable of acquiring real-time positioning information
Service vessel and method
Service can be provided through VTS for SOLAS ships and the other ships are provided with dedicated terminal

* It could be ECS, ECDIS, PPU or Smart phone applications those are compatible with Korea e-Navigation system

Republic of Korea territorial water where is able to get real-time positioning information

Service Scenario

Usual Sending and receiving vessel positioning information via AIS or LTE-Maritime → Calculating CPA/TCPA with other ship and checking the ENC location, Analyzing vulnerability by marine environment, risk assessment of collision and grounding by analyzing vulnerability → Notify emergency situation to other vessels or relevant authorities(E.g.: VTS, Coast guard)
